10.00 Workshop Series I: “What is Masterly? – Developing Beyond Graduation.”
Four simultaneously running workshops, people will choose and sign up in the morning. This session not only incorporates current approaches to teaching which have already been established, but also looks at future tendencies of how to develop the veterinary educator of the future. The themes for these parallel-running workshops are:
1: The challenge of teaching basic sciences in a clinical context (workshop leaders: Dr Renate Weller and Miss Emma Davies)
2: Case-based approach to clinical teaching (workshop leader: Professor David Church)
3: Veterinary Educators of the future: Trainers and Trainees (workshop leader: Professor Fiona Cunningham)
4: RVC’s Approach to fostering excellence in educator training. Pg Cert, MVetMed, MSc Vet Ed – where to next? (workshop leader: Dr Ayona Silva-Fletcher, Mr Kim Whittlestone)
