Land completed a BEng (Honours) in Computer Aided Engineering Design achieving Upper Second Class at Sheffield Hallam University in 2002, and an MSc in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Imaging at University College London in 2009. His Thesis focussed on computer aided diagnosis on radiographic image segmentation using shape algorithms to identify and classify malformed juvenile bones.
Between 2003-2004 Land took a year our and travelled around India, South East Asia, Australia, NZ and South America
He has previously worked at Eaton Corporation Aerospace Division starting as a Project administrator then working his way up to Project Leader. His role entailed supporting Enterprise Resource Planning with Rolls-Royce and Hawker Aerospace
Land begun a 6 month contract within LIVE in Sept 2009, working as a Business Development Intern with the London BioScience Innovation Centre on the ORBIS Programme (Overcoming Recession: Bioscience Investment in Skill). Land is working for the LIVE and SenseGraphics (Sponsors) to market and start a business foundation for the Core Skills Trainer in Haptic Technology and Training.
