Vicki joined us in April 2007 as a LIVE Fellow in Lifelong Learning, and became a Lecturer in Veterinary Education in April 2008. During this time, she has been researching:

Vicki graduated in 1992 with a BSc. in Archaeology from the University of Glasgow, before obtaining an MSc. in Archaeological Science (Computing) from the University of Southampton in 1994, her dissertation focusing on the development of a multimedia training package on archaeological science. Between 1993-1994 she worked at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London, developing a computer-aided learning package for the TLTP Archaeology consortium.
Following this, Vicki was employed in 1994 as a Courseware Designer for the Computer-aided Learning In Veterinary Education (CLIVE) consortium at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Glasgow, where she worked for 13 years, supporting e-learning and research in veterinary education. In 2008, she obtained her PhD entitled “Educational methods and technologies in undergraduate veterinary medicine: A case study of veterinary teaching and learning at Glasgow, 1949-2006”, supervised by Professor Martin Sullivan and Dr. Erica McAteer.

Vicki is a Registered Practitioner of the Higher Education Academy, a member of the Association for Veterinary Teachers and Research Work (AVTRW), a founding member of Veterinary Education Worldwide (ViEW) and a Fellow of the Centre for Excellence in Professional Placement Learning (2008-9).
