Neil graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2006 with a BSc in Computing Science. Specialising in Haptics (Human-Computer-Interaction via our senses of touch) his dissertation saw the creation of “ProtoHaptic”, an interactive Haptic prototyping tool intended to eliminate the need for programming when defining new Haptic environments. Following this success he remained at Glasgow after graduation, being employed by the University to continue the development of ProtoHaptic.
Neil currently works on a consultantancy basis for Dr Sarah Baillie, to develop and refine innovative Haptic simulations that might improve veterinary education.
