Carrie joined LIVE in August 2009 to study for a PhD, looking at the hidden curriculum in veterinary education. Following on from a PGCE in Science with Physics, she has spent the previous three years teaching, first at a secondary school in Essex and then at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich. During this time, she also completed a Masters in Education at Cambridge University, focussing on the relationship between students’ motivation and how they perceived their parents viewed schoolwork.
Prior to this, Carrie gained a first class degree in Automotive Engineering from Oxford Brookes University, graduating with a prize from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
Carrie is passionate about effective teaching and learning and looks forward to contributing to the work of the LIVE team.
