Stephen May bows out as Senior Vice-President of the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation

After eight years as a member of the EBVS (President in 2013-2015), Stephen May contributed to his ninth and last Annual General Meeting in Brussels on 20-21 April and was acknowledged for his contributions to the organisation. Major themes have been lobbying for a change in the European Directive (2013/55/EC) to allow the recognised professions to apply through the Common Training Framework for political recognition of their specialist development activities (application submitted in December 2016), and continued development of EBVS in its quality assurance roles.

Stephen will have little time to rest from veterinary politics as he becomes President of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in July.
